Troop 1 proudly wears the BSA uniform — our way. We have a 90+ year tradition that we uphold, which supersedes more recent customs. As such, the following are "deviations" from the norm.
- On our left shoulder we wear "Acton" and "Mass" patches
instead of the more recently invented Council patch - Commemorating Troop 1's 90th year, we wear a small "90" patch between the "Mass" and the "1"
- The distinctive "In the Steps of Isaac Davis" neckerchief is worn by all scouts who have achieved the rank of Tenderfoot
- The legendary Troop 1 red corduroy hat
- And, once the Scout has participated in the annual Isaac Davis Camporee and March, they wear the "Isaac Davis Trail" patch (with year mini-patches) over their right front pocket
Every boy that joins Troop 1 will be provided with the following uniform components:
- Patch: "1"
- Patch: "Mass"
- Patch: "Acton"
- Pair of red epaulettes
- World Scouting patch
- Troop 1 Hat
- BSA neckerchief slide
- Neckerchief (white for pre-Tenderfoot, as shown above for all other ranks)
